Project Type: CONSTRUCTION Description: Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The VMS Demonstration affiliate of Habitat plans to complete 5 homes in 2006. If you are interested in any aspect of building houses and building community, become a Build Volunteer or volunteer for the Construction Committee. Build Volunteer: Work on-site in all phases of construction, from moving dirt, pounding nails, raising walls, and painting. You may also help out in site clean-up, transportation, or bringing lunches. Skilled workers can serve as team leaders. Those with less skill can be trained at a scheduled class or on-site.
