Project : Blue Team Short Description: Home Improvement, Sales Floor & Loading Description: NEW volunteers need to attend a New Volunteer Orientation prior to volunteering at the store. Please return to the calendar screen and sign up under "Orientation". BLUE TEAM: Home Improvement The home improvement section of the ReStore is where all of our building supplies, tools, and fixtures are sold, as well as a small automotive section and some sports and leisure. As a volunteer in our Home Improvement area you will work in conjunction with our Home Improvement Sales Associate. You will provide great customer service to ReStore shoppers by helping them find items in the store and writing sales ticket for larger items (if authorized). Maintaining a positive attitude while working with customers will be a requirement. Once donations have been processed and priced they will be moved to the sales floor, where you will stock shelves and assist with merchandising. Please remember: it is everyones responsibility to keep the ReStore safe, clean, and provide a great customer experience. This position is essential to our mission because we have to keep our store looking nice and full of items to sell, and we must keep our customers satisfied. Other duties may also be assigned. This means you may be assigned to another team. More information is available in our Volunteer Manual. Please dress appropriately for the type of work you will be doing. Remember, we require all volunteers to wear clothing that covers the shoulder and armpit area, the mid-drift and cleavage, as well as shoes that cover the toes and heel. No sweat pants, workout pants, or basketball pants/shorts. Denim or khaki is acceptable.
