Project : Oak Street Duplex
Short Description: 431 Oak Street - Smith Family
Description: We're looking for volunteers to help us with this two-family home. Gain experience with all aspects of construction and green building protocols. No previous experience is necessary, just a willing heart!

This home is funded and sponsored by First United Methodist Church and will be dedicated to the Jones Family.

We typically build on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Construction Volunteers: Arrive at 8:00 AM for sign in and safety orientation. We will break for lunch at 12 noon. Afternoon volunteers should check in at 12:30 pm.

We will post any weather related closures on the Volunteer Scheduling Site by 7:00 am the day of the build.

Volunteers must be 16 years old or older.
Minors between the ages of 16 and 18 must have a parent or guardian's signature on their waiver.

If you are interested in becoming a long term construction volunteers (one of our Faithful Few Crew), we recommend you complete the Safety Course: Volunteering on a Habitat for Humanity Job Site prior to coming to the job site.

Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, closed toe shoes, and dress weather appropriate.
Week day volunteers should bring their own sack lunch. Lunch is usually provided by volunteers for the Saturday crew. If you have special dietary concerns, please bring your own lunch.

Habitat provides all of the tools, but you are welcome to bring your own belt if you want.
