Project : 1265 Habitat Drive Short Description: Construction of 3 bedroom home Description: Work days are now open to community volunteers. Gain experience with all aspects of construction and green building protocols. No previous construction experience is necessary, just a willing heart! This house is a new 3 bedroom 2 bath home. We typically build on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. If you are interested in bringing a group on another day of the week, contact Valerie at 803-775-5767 ext 105 or valerie@habitatsumter.org Construction Volunteers: Arrive at 8:00 AM for sign in and safety orientation. We will break for lunch at 11:30 am. BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH. We will email you any weather related closures by 7:00 am the day of the build. All volunteers are required to sign a Liability Waiver Form and bring it with them to the job site: Adult Waiver Volunteers 16 & 17 must have adult supervision over the age of 25 and must have a parent or guardian's signature on the waiver. Minor Waiver /> If you are interested in becoming a long term construction volunteers (one of our Faithful Few Crew), we recommend you complete the Safety Course prior to coming to the job site. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, wear sturdy closed toe shoes and bring work gloves. Dress weather appropriate and remember to bring your own sack lunch. Please note that East Red Bay Road is closed. You must use Boulevard to access Habitat Drive. Habitat provides all of the tools, but you are welcome to bring your own belt if you want.
